How To Github Triggers
This feature allows users to connect with prospects through github. The connection message will be related to either your repository or other companies repository.
Github Own - Prospects found through the use of your own repository
Github Other - Prospects found through repositories of companies who work with similar solutions
- From the home page, click on the Profile Settings tab
- From there, click Triggers at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down until you see the area for Github Triggers, now you have two options - Github Own or Github Other
- Github Own - This allows you to enter your own company’s Github repository, and create a trigger based off of your work. If someone has checked out your repository, the connection message will be along the lines of “Hey I saw you are using some of our code, I would love to connect”
- Github Other - This option allows you to enter the Github repository of a company with alternative solutions, and use that as a trigger. Say you are Google, and there is a prospect who is using a repository from Bing, the connection message will be something like - “Hey I saw you are using a code from (name of company), I feel we may have similar interests and would love to connect.
- You can also add multiple other company repositories by clicking +Add Another under the URL.
